Version 8 of the SyncWare® platform has been published and the first systems updated to the new version. Version 8 has been updated to support the latest system software versions, allowing the update to practically reset the system’s operating life.

User interfaces and their basic architecture have also been revamped. SyncWare® 8 includes support for the development of Rich Internet Applications (RIA). This means, for example, embedding Adobe Flash components in the application’s user interface so that, as a whole, the system communicates via standardised interfaces and is visually uniform. You can use drag&drop methods in the user interfaces and zooming in graphical reporting.

The Reporting Wizard has been completely overhauled, and a new tool (SyncViz®) has been added for the creation of dynamic diagram views.

Data handling has been developed, and there is a new, separate tool menu for system administrators. System monitoring functionality has been developed with respect to ticket handling and reporting. The monitoring of Unix computers and VmWare systems is a new feature in this version.

Servers meeting the specifications of the new XML-DA and UA standards are available for OPC connections, while Web Service support has been updated to the latest version (JAX-WS 2.1.7).
