Version 12 of Syncron Tech products SyncMES®, SyncPlan®, SyncPower®, SyncPulp® and SyncPermit®, as well as SyncWare®, the platform software of the SyncTools product family, has been released.
The two most significant new features are:
- Capacity to collect and process very large amounts of data.
- Improvements to user interface tools and user-friendliness.
Huge amount of power under the hood.
SyncWare 12 is really future-proof. You can collect and store all measurement data very cost-effectively. If your application needs storage resources or extra power, SyncWare is the answer, as it can challenge any commercial cloud service on the market. Particularly fast-growing application areas include machine-learning systems and artificial intelligence solutions in general.
New, more advanced NoSQL support adds momentum. SyncWare 12 can collect all available factory measurement data in full resolution. Already in use at a site where 250,000 data points are collected at a resolution of one second. And that is nowhere near the upper limit.
The number of supported data collection interfaces continues to grow:
- Blob storage, all major cloud providers
- Azure Data Lake
- OSIsoft PI System
And as before, our system includes both OPC UA Server and Client features.
A new milestone in SyncWare’s architecture is cloud independence. Our SaaS service can also work in or with the customer’s cloud.
User interface improvements and innovations
One of the cornerstones of our philosophy is to produce the same production snapshot for all information users, in the form required for each job role. This results in the need to bring user-friendliness to a new level.
The SyncViz display configuration tool is now 100% HTML5. Flash is now a thing of the past and is supported according to version policy. Ability to create PWA applications. Progressive Web Apps is a collection of technologies that bring browser applications to the level of native apps in terms of user-friendliness. PWA is well suited for use in a factory environment, as the PWA applications can also run offline. All this can be achieved quickly without app stores.
Other improvements
The new version also includes version 11 extensions, which have now been harmonized and added to the release version. Reporting tools, the formula wizard, and consequently, applications have improved. Online help has been revamped.
A new dashboard and new visualization components.
IT managers are likely to appreciate OAuth user authentication support for its security and compatibility. In addition, users will appreciate the ease of use that comes with it.
